How long does it take to replace a roof?

In most cases the average roof in Louisiana to remove and replace shingles is a one day job.

What are the areas do Gomez General Contractors service?

We presently are able to provide service to all of southern Louisiana from Lake Charles to Slidell including some areas north into Central Louisiana. Check the website footer for current updated areas of service.

Do I have to pay for a roof inspection?

We offer Free Storm Damage Roof Inspections.

Do I have to pay for an estimate?

Most estimates do require a refundable fee, if we replace your roof. Depending on the roof some can be done at no charge. Interior & Exterior Renovations / Remodels do require a fee. Which is deducted if the estimate is approved and Gomez does the work.

Will the insurance company pay for my shingle upgrade?

Insurance companies pay to replace what you presently have.
Upgrades are paid by the homeowner unless it’s a code issue.
Depending on your policy code issues can be the insurance company’s responsibility.

How does the insurance company pay its share of the claim?

Since Katrina, insurance companies pay the initial payment – the ACV or Net Claim and once the work is complete they will release the Depreciation.

Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes, it is a Louisiana State Law that the homeowner pay the insurance Deductible.
